As the Special Olympics bowling season concludes in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, The Arc, Ocean County Chapter continues to celebrate. It all kicks off with the intense "Area" competition at Ocean Lanes in Lakewood, where local teams compete for a chance to advance to the "Regional" tournament.
Among the standout athletes is Suzanne C from the Ocean Rollers team, who secured gold medals in both the "Area" and "Regional" rounds. Her journey culminates in the prestigious State Championship, where only the best bowlers compete for the ultimate prize.
Suzanne's dedication and commitment to extra practice perfectly demonstrated how hard work pays off as she placed high gold in the State Championship, leaving her with a total of three gold medals from the 2024 bowling season.
