Open Positions

  1. Program Assistants are vital to our everyday residential operations. The successful candidate for these positions will provide supports to individuals with disabilities in a residential (Group Home, Supervised Apartment, or Supportive Living) environment.

    Responsibilities include teaching life skills and managing the personal care of all the individuals living in the community residence. The successful candidate will be at least 18 years of age, have a valid, NJ Driver's License with no more than 5 points, and a minimum of a H.S. Diploma/G.E.D.

  2. We are currently seeking Assistant Group Home Managers who will be responsible for assisting the manager with the the day to day operation of a community residence that supports individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities.

    Responsibilities will include assistance with teaching life skills and guiding the personal and social development of the individuals in the home, as well as writing and managing individual habilitation plans for each of the residents in the group home. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will be assist with maintaining staff schedules and assisting the manager with scheduling staff for trainings.

  3. We are currently seeking several Program Instructors to work in our Adult Training Centers.
    The successful candidate will provide direct support and individualized vocational training to the participants of this day program. The Program Instructor will provide assistance with activities, daily living, and socialization, and will ensure that participants are given the opportunity to be trained in the vocational area(s) of interest, based on the participants' skill sets.

  4. We are currently offering a great opportunity to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities! We are in need of Group Home Managers to oversee Residential Programs in Brick. Responsibilities include the overall management of daily activities of residents in the Group Home. Scheduling staff and ensuring that DDD standards are maintained throughout all facets of the Group Home. Must also recruit, hire, and supervise staff in the performance of their duties.

    The successful candidate must be at least 18yrs. of age, have a valid NJ DL with no more than 5pts, and a minimum of 2 years working with individuals with disabilities as well as previous experience working in a Group Home. May need to be flexible with schedule to meet the needs of the programs. The Residence Manager must also be willing to participate in a Monthly On-Call Rotation.

  5. To assist, mentor, advise, and instruct individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while they secure gainful employment within the community.

    Candidate must be 18 yrs or older, have a valid NJ DL w/no more than 5pts, and a high school diploma or GED. We are seeking individuals that have experience working in the field of developmental disabilities and is familiar with the background of job coaching and instruction. Must have a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the individuals within our services, this is a 40hr per week position.

  6. The Arc, Ocean County Chapter, a non-profit agency that supports individuals with
    disabilities, is seeking Full-Time and Part-Time CHHAs and CNAs to work in our
    medical group homes.

    Basic Job Responsibilities include:

    -Ensuring each resident obtains necessary medical services

    -Administering medication

    -Assisting with the monitoring and the provision of clinical care

    Providing direct support and supervision by teaching skills and guiding the
    personal and social development of each individual within the least restrictive
    environment.

    Overnight shifts are currently available.

    The successful candidate will be at least 18 years of age, have a minimum of a H.S.
    Diploma/GED, and a valid NJ Driver's License with no more than 5 points. They
    must also have a current and valid CNA/CHHA license that was received from an
    accredited program.

  7. We are currently seeking a full time Crew Chief to providing training, supervision and support to individuals with disabilities who are employed on a cleaning crew. The crew chief will take a group of individuals to various contracted sites throughout the community to perform cleaning services while supervising a group of individuals with disabilities who are also employed through the cleaning service. The successful candidate must have at least two years of janitorial experience and previous experience with stripping and waxing large floor areas.

    The candidate must also have a flexible schedule in order to meet the cleaning needs of the various contracts. Successful candidates must also be at least 18 years of age, have a valid NJDL, and the ability to drive and operate a 10-12 passenger van. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.

  8. Employment Specialists work with participants in our Self-Directed Services Programs. They are responsible for developing employment, self-employment, and/or volunteer opportunities to expand on skills necessary for competitive employment. They also provide community based job training opportunities to address job modifications and/or job restructuring to develop natural supports. They also provide job, career and life skill training to enhance employability skills. Must be able to contact, network and develop relationships with potential employers.

    This position requires a BS/BA in Human Services or related field.

  9. As an agency RN, the successful candidate will provide complete physical assessments of our consumers. They will also be responsible for providing medication and health care education to all required staff. The agency RN will also develop and monitor the care plan for consumers and will update each plan as needed.

    This is a Full-Time position that would provide support to individuals served in both our Vocational and Residential programs.

    Proof of current licensure from the NJ Board of Nursing will be required; BSN in psychology or related field is preferred.

  10. A Program Assistant Supervisor is responsible for helping to oversee the staff and participants in a Day Program Setting. They will ensure participants are given the opportunity to be trained in vocational areas of interest and that best meet their skill set.

    The Program Assistant Supervisor will work with the Supervisor, Department Director and Assistant Director to complete intakes, assessments, and evaluations of prospective participants. They will also provide supervision to the Day Program Staff.

    This position requires a BS/BA in Human Services or related field.

    We are currently seeking a Full-Time Program Assistant Supervisor for our Tuckerton Location

  11. We are currently seeking a part-time (approx. 24 hrs per week) Construction Maintenance worker to support our busy Maintenance Department and to maintain and upkeep our agency properties.

    We are seeking a candidate will well-rounded experience with exterior and interior facility operations including experience in all areas of basic maintenance and construction, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, basic construction and home repair. Previous grounds keeping and/or landscaping experience is preferred, but not required.

    Job Functions include but are not limited to:

    Must be able to work independently and possess strong problem solving skills
    Must be able to manage multiple projects and anticipate project needs
    Receive and follow maintenance instructions from Maintenance Coordinator and submit complete and accurate paperwork.
    Perform routine tasks including but not limited to home repair, light construction, and repairing fixtures, floors, walls, etc.
    Perform snow removal tasks during inclement weather.
    Work with coordinator to obtain estimates for contracted work and follow all agency policy in regards to vendors and contractors.
    Possess the ability to independently identify problems and issues in and around agency properties and effectively manage the completion of projects to fix the identified problems.
    The successful candidate will be reliable, punctual, and possess great communication skills. Must have the ability to work well in a team atmosphere as well as work independently.

    Job Functions include but are not limited to:

    Perform routine tasks including but not limited to home repair, light construction, and repairing fixtures, floors, walls, etc.

    Possess the ability to independently identify problems and issues in and around agency properties and effectively manage the completion of projects to fix the identified problems.

    The successful candidate will be reliable, punctual, and possess great communication skills. Must have the ability to work well in a team atmosphere as well as work independently.

    Requirements:
    Minimum 5 years professional experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical and basic construction.
    Must have at minimum at HS Diploma or GED.
    Must be 18 years of age.
    Must have a valid NJ Driver's License with no more than 5 points.
    Must have the ability to successfully complete a full background investigation including a physical, drug screening and fingerprinting.

  12. Part Time Drivers

    The Arc, Ocean County Chapter Inc. is a non-profit organization that supports individuals with disabilities. We are currently seeking Part-Time Drivers to transport the individuals we serve to/from their homes and program. Our Drivers are responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of our individuals to and from their work/day programs, 5 days per week. Each Driver is expected to maintain valid NJ Driving privileges throughout the course of their employment.​​

    ​The successful candidate must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid NJ DL with no more than 5 points, and a minimum of a H.S. Diploma or GED. They must also be able to work a split shift. The hours for the position are 7a-9a and 2:30-4:30, Monday-Friday. Candidate must have a cell phone.​
