  1. Program Assistants are vital to our everyday residential operations. The successful candidate for these positions will provide supports to individuals with disabilities in a residential (Group Home, Supervised Apartment, or Supportive Living) environment.

    Responsibilities include teaching life skills and managing the personal care of all the individuals living in the community residence. The successful candidate will be at least 18 years of age, have a valid, NJ Driver's License with no more than 5 points, and a minimum of a H.S. Diploma/G.E.D.

  2. We are currently seeking Assistant Group Home Managers who will be responsible for assisting the manager with the the day to day operation of a community residence that supports individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities.

    Responsibilities will include assistance with teaching life skills and guiding the personal and social development of the individuals in the home, as well as writing and managing individual habilitation plans for each of the residents in the group home. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will be assist with maintaining staff schedules and assisting the manager with scheduling staff for trainings.

  3. We are currently seeking several Program Instructors to work in our Adult Training Centers.
    The successful candidate will provide direct support and individualized vocational training to the participants of this day program. The Program Instructor will provide assistance with activities, daily living, and socialization, and will ensure that participants are given the opportunity to be trained in the vocational area(s) of interest, based on the participants' skill sets.

  4. We are currently offering a great opportunity to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities! We are in need of Group Home Managers to oversee Residential Programs in Brick and in Barnegat. Responsibilities include the overall management of daily activities of residents in the Group Home. Scheduling staff and ensuring that DDD standards are maintained throughout all facets of the Group Home. Must also recruit, hire, and supervise staff in the performance of their duties.

    The successful candidate must be at least 18yrs. of age, have a valid NJ DL with no more than 5pts, and a minimum of 2 years working with individuals with disabilities as well as previous experience working in a Group Home. May need to be flexible with schedule to meet the needs of the programs. The Residence Manager must also be willing to participate in a Monthly On-Call Rotation.

  5. As an agency RN, the successful candidate will provide complete physical assessments of our consumers. They will also be responsible for providing medication and health care education to all required staff. The agency RN will also develop and monitor the care plan for consumers and will update each plan as needed.

    This is a Full-Time position that would provide support to individuals served in both our Vocational and Residential programs.

    Proof of current licensure from the NJ Board of Nursing will be required; BSN in psychology or related field is preferred.

  6. The Arc, Ocean County Chapter, a non-profit agency that supports individuals with
    disabilities, is seeking Full-Time and Part-Time CHHAs and CNAs to work in our
    medical group homes.

    Basic Job Responsibilities include:

    -Ensuring each resident obtains necessary medical services

    -Administering medication

    -Assisting with the monitoring and the provision of clinical care

    Providing direct support and supervision by teaching skills and guiding the
    personal and social development of each individual within the least restrictive
    environment.

    Overnight shifts are currently available.

    The successful candidate will be at least 18 years of age, have a minimum of a H.S.
    Diploma/GED, and a valid NJ Driver's License with no more than 5 points. They
    must also have a current and valid CNA/CHHA license that was received from an
    accredited program.

  7. Description

    The Arc, Ocean County Chapter, a non-profit organization that supports individuals
    with disabilities, is seeking currently seeking Full Time, Part Time and Substitute LPNs to work with individuals with disabilities. We are looking for full-time LPNs in the Barnegat area and Part Time and Substitutes for the Brick area.

    The LPN, under the direction of the agency RN, monitors and provides for the
    clinical care of our residents, including assessment, planning, implementation
    and evaluation. They will collect case histories, record services provided, and
    prepare medication records.

    Requirements

    The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of experience working with
    individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities and at least 1
    year of medical/surgical experience. They will also be at least 18 yrs. of age
    and have a valid NJ Driver's License with no more than 5 points.

  8. We are currently seeking a part-time (approx. 24 hrs per week) Construction Maintenance worker to support our busy Maintenance Department and to maintain and upkeep our agency properties.

    We are seeking a candidate will well-rounded experience with exterior and interior facility operations including experience in all areas of basic maintenance and construction, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, basic construction and home repair. Previous grounds keeping and/or landscaping experience is preferred, but not required.

    Job Functions include but are not limited to:

    Must be able to work independently and possess strong problem solving skills
    Must be able to manage multiple projects and anticipate project needs

    Perform routine tasks including but not limited to home repair, light construction, and repairing fixtures, floors, walls, etc.
    Perform snow removal tasks during inclement weather.
    Work with coordinator to obtain estimates for contracted work and follow all agency policy in regards to vendors and contractors.
    Possess the ability to independently identify problems and issues in and around agency properties and effectively manage the completion of projects to fix the identified problems.
    The successful candidate will be reliable, punctual, and possess great communication skills. Must have the ability to work well in a team atmosphere as well as work independently.

    Job Functions include but are not limited to:

    Perform routine tasks including but not limited to home repair, light construction, and repairing fixtures, floors, walls, etc.

    Possess the ability to independently identify problems and issues in and around agency properties and effectively manage the completion of projects to fix the identified problems.

    The successful candidate will be reliable, punctual, and possess great communication skills. Must have the ability to work well in a team atmosphere as well as work independently.

    Requirements:
    Minimum 5 years professional experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical and basic construction.
    Must have at minimum at HS Diploma or GED.
    Must be 18 years of age.
    Must have a valid NJ Driver's License with no more than 5 points.
    Must have the ability to successfully complete a full background investigation including a physical, drug screening and fingerprinting.

  9. We are currently seeking an entry level IT technician to help the department provide support throughout our Ocean County locations, working about 20- 25 hours/ month. Support will be provided by performing installations, investigating user problems/ implementing solutions, and maintaining communication with users.

    This Junior IT Technician will also troubleshoot network systems, report any inappropriate use of systems to their supervisor and working in conjunction with the supervisor on any projects.

    Experience/ Education:
    HS Diploma or GED required
    CompTIAA+and CompTIA Network+ certification preferred

    Valid NJ Drivers license, and previous experience working in a general office environment is preferred.

  10. The Mission of The Arc, Ocean County Chapter, Inc. is to advocate, provide opportunities and supports necessary for all individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to be accepted and valued as citizens of the communities in which they choose to live, learn, work and play.

    The Arc, Ocean County Chapter has immediate openings for overnight Program Assistants. The position is an awake overnight and entails doing paperwork and light cleaning. Additionally, you would be providing assistance to residents with disabilities in a homelike environment if they were to wake in the middle of the night. Finally, you would assist them in the morning to get ready for their day.

    In addition to these basic duties, our Overnight program assistants will receive training so that they are competent with administering medications and ensuring the residents are safe, happy and healthy.

    The hours for this position are 11pm to 9am.

    There are open positions in all of Ocean County Area.

    The successful candidate must be at least 18yrs. of age, have a valid NJ DL with no more than 5pts, a minimum of 1 year working experience with 1 company, and a high school diploma or GED.
