Now at 72 and 73 years old, they proudly support each other’s independence and say, “We will live together forever.”

That’s why we’re building a new state-of-the-art group home in 2025 to ensure that seniors with disabilities like Arthur and Billy can age in place with dignity, comfort, and independence. This home will offer the accessibility, smart technology, and medical support our residents need—while maintaining the familiar faces and comforts that make a house truly feel like home.

Donna’s Story: A Life Full of Color and Joy
Donna has been part of The Arc family for 23 years, and her vibrant personality shines wherever she goes. Whether she’s on a shopping trip, enjoying a coffee and chocolate donut, or reminiscing about her favorite Elvis tunes, Donna’s zest for life is infectious. Today, Donna enjoys a semi-retired lifestyle at Pier 3, one of The Arc’s current group homes for medically fragile residents. With on-site LPN staff to meet ongoing medical needs, she receives the care and support she needs to stay active, happy, and fulfilled.
Like Donna, all 170 of our residents dream of staying in a place they can call home as they grow older. Our new group home will ensure that dream is realized—with features like zero-step entry, wider doorways, larger living spaces, and cuttingedge smart technology designed to foster independence and dignity.
Frank’s Story: Finding Joy at Home
Frank, a resident at The Arc since 1991, knows that home is where the heart is. Whether he’s listening to music in his favorite recliner, soaking up the sun on the deck, or enjoying his yearly trips to Wildwood for tram rides and ice cream, Frank finds peace and joy in a life supported by The Arc’s compassionate staff.
