The Arc, Ocean County Chapter is thrilled to introduce our new Recreation Services Wellness Program, kicking off this September!
This initiative is designed to encourage an active, healthy lifestyle for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Featuring a range of fun and engaging activities, the program aims to enhance fitness, explore new hobbies, and take meaningful steps toward better health.
Our Wellness Program features an exciting weekly lineup of activities. Start your week with Nutritious Cooking on Mondays, where you'll learn to prepare healthy meals that are both delicious and easy to make. On Tuesdays, get your heart pumping with Cardio Drumming, a high-energy workout that combines rhythm and movement. If you're a basketball fan, join us on Wednesdays for Basketball Skills, where you can improve your game and have fun on the court. Thursdays are perfect for a relaxing stroll with our Walking Club, an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and stay active. Finally, wrap up the week with Pickleball Skills on Saturdays, where you can learn this fast-growing sport that's fun for all ages and abilities.
We invite everyone to take part in this exciting new program and make wellness a priority in their lives. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just beginning your fitness journey, our Wellness Program offers something for every skill level.
