Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, and at The Arc, Ocean County Chapter, we’re proud to celebrate inclusion, understanding, and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities all month long.

Through meaningful events and awareness opportunities, we invite our community to learn, engage, and take action.

There are many ways to get involved this March!

  • Schedule a presentation for your school, club, or organization to learn more about who we are and the impact of our mission.
  • Join our Vocational Services team for a free Lunch Break session to discover how we partner with local businesses (RSVP required).
  • Try your luck in our Super Raffle to support our programs while entering to win exciting prizes.
  • Attend our Catalyst Awards as we honor the outstanding staff, donors, and community partners who go above and beyond in support of our mission.

We’re also incredibly proud to shine a light on our Employment Center’s self-advocacy group. This dedicated team has made their voices heard at community events and even at the state capital, touring and sharing their insights and concerns. Their leadership, courage, and commitment to advocacy embody the true spirit of this month.

Together, we celebrate strength, resilience, and the power of inclusion. For more awareness opportunities or to get involved, please contact our Development Team

Together, we can make March a month of action, understanding, and community support!
