This year, The Arc, Ocean County Chapter proudly celebrates 70 years of advocacy, inclusion, and life-changing support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. What began in 1955 as the Little Carpenter Training School has grown into a robust network of services reaching more than 1,100 individuals and families across New Jersey.
The 2025 Annual Report highlights a year of growth, innovation, and community partnership. New initiatives, from expanded Special Olympics teams to innovative employment ventures like the Arc Employment Center’s fire-starter business, showcase how participants are gaining confidence, skills, and independence every day.
Financially, The Arc continues to thrive thanks to steadfast supporters, generating more than $39 million in revenue and reinvesting directly into residential services, day programs, recreation, employment supports, and family resources. An impressive 91 cents of every dollar donated went directly to programs that enhance the lives of the people we serve.
Donor generosity funded dozens of meaningful projects this year, from smart-home upgrades in group homes to expanded adaptive fitness classes, refreshed vocational spaces, and new community-building events. These investments continue to pave the way for a more inclusive future in Ocean County.
As Executive Director, Laura Williams shares, “It is the purpose that drives us all — touching families, supporting individuals, and building a legacy we can be proud of.” Here’s to the next 70 years of impact.
