TV Famous Turkey Bowl

Turkey Bowl News Interview

On a crisp fall morning at Manchester Township High School, all six of our Arc Ocean vocational day-programs took to the turf for our annual “Turkey Bowl” for a day of friendly competition and community togetherness.

The Manchester varsity football team helped guide each game with humour, encouragement and teamwork as the program participants pulled some flags and caught countless touchdowns.

According to the media coverage by News 12 NJ, “You can just see the smiles on their faces, both the ARC players and the Manchester players. It’s awesome to see.”

The PIX11 story highlighted how the day transcended the normal sport experience: “It’s not just about scoring touchdowns… it’s a place where friends are made.”

The event wasn’t about winning or losing—it was about connection. Our wellness coordinator expressed it perfectly, saying, “It gets them out of the program, it gets them out into the community. It’s just a day filled with joy and excitement and teamwork.”

Between the flag pulls, the cheering sideline techs,  and the shared laughter, the Turkey Bowl built bridges between students, programs, the school and the community.

Here's hoping this becomes a cherished Thanksgiving tradition for years to come.
