To celebrate the change of seasons, Arc Ocean residents and vocational participants shared their favorite things about fall—from cozy treats and creative costumes to family traditions and festive holidays. Here’s what they had to say about what makes autumn so special!
At the Employment Center, Logan looks forward to Thanksgiving for the cornbread, turkey, gravy, and cheesecake, and he loves creating Halloween costumes like his handmade Thor outfit. Kenny enjoys his mom’s pumpkin pie, trick-or-treating, pumpkin picking, and scary movies—making Halloween his favorite holiday.
At Community Connections ATC, Chris enjoys turkey, stuffing, and watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, while Arielle loves Dirt and Worms Pie, pumpkin picking, apple cider, and spending Thanksgiving with her family.
Over at the Tuckerton ATC, Adam enjoys candy corn that “tastes like maple syrup,” carving and painting pumpkins, and celebrating both Halloween and Thanksgiving with family. Kathy loves caramel apples, pumpkin pie, pumpkin picking, and outlet shopping, with Thanksgiving topping her list for the parade, feast, and desserts.
At Journeys and Discovery, Ashley enjoys chocolate chip cookies, arts and crafts, and lots of turkey on Thanksgiving, while Matt loves apple cider donuts, pumpkin picking, and a big Thanksgiving meal.
Whether it’s dressing up for Halloween, savoring sweet treats, or sharing a Thanksgiving feast, Arc Ocean participants truly know how to make the most of the fall season!
