The Arc, Ocean County Chapter, recently hosted its 3rd Annual Field Day, bringing together participants from all six of our vocational day programs for a full day of fun, fitness, and community spirit.
Smiles, laughter, and plenty of friendly competition filled the air as everyone joined in a variety of adaptive and active games designed for all abilities.
From launching “Angry Birds” with a rubber chicken sling shot, to tossing pickleballs into buckets, carefully maneuvering silk scarves with pool noodle chopsticks, rolling bocce balls, reeling in a fish relay, and even tossing balls into hoola hoop pants, the creativity and energy at each station made the day unforgettable.
Every participant had the chance to shine and was celebrated with ribbons as they rotated through the activities, making sure everyone went home a winner.
This amazing day of fun was made possible thanks to the incredible OceanFirst Bank Wave Maker volunteers through their annual CommUNITY First Day.
Along with their hands-on help, OceanFirst also supported the event with a community grant, ensuring everything went off without a hitch. Thanks to their generosity, our field day was not only seamless but also filled with joy, encouragement, and the true spirit of inclusion.
