The Arc, Ocean County Chapter's Recreation Services has scheduled September packed with fun, friendship, and fall activities!
Our Northern Saturday Recreation Program kicks off on September 6th, where participants can enjoy in-facility activities like crafts, bingo, and games to start the day, followed by fun community outings to local fairs, parks, zoos, and more.
Sports fans won’t want to miss our SMILES Trips this month, with the Jersey Shore BlueClaws on Sunday, September 7th, and the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday, September 28th.
And for those who love to dance, get ready to move and groove at our 80’s Neon Friday Night Dances—up North in Lakewood on September 19th, and down South in Manahawkin on September 26th!
Our wellness programs are in full swing this fall, starting with Bowling Leagues. The Ocean Rollers in the North take the lanes on Monday, September 22nd, while the Ocean Stars in the South begin on Tuesday, September 23rd.
Special Olympics sports are also gearing up! Volleyball begins on Tuesdays starting September 23rd, with practices leading up to tournaments in November. On Wednesdays beginning September 24th, participants can sharpen their skills in Basketball Skills & Play. Then on Thursdays starting September 25th, Special Olympics Pickleball begins, with tournaments later this year.
