The Arc, Ocean County Chapter's Wave Riders Track & Field team wrapped up their very first season with Special Olympics New Jersey at the Summer Games June 6-8th. From our very first practice in the Toms River Indoor Sports Complex to the Regional Games in Long Branch to the SONJ Summer Games at TCNJ, our athletes have grown stronger with courage, determination, teamwork and pride.
Many achieved their personal bests and have the medals to prove it. This first year we have set the bar high, have shown others what is possible and look forward to not only achieving more success in years to come but hope to welcome even more athletes to the Wave Riders team.
I am one proud coach and cannot wait to see what the future holds for these athletes.
