The Arc, Ocean County Chapter is looking forward to our 23rd Annual Step Up for The Arc Walk and 5K Race to raise awareness and funds for the 1,000 individuals with disabilities we support in Ocean County, NJ. Please find important event day details below.

Location: Jersey Shore BlueClaws, 2 Stadium Way, Lakewood, NJ 08701 Directions Only the New Hampshire Ave entrance will be open prior to 9am for the 5K Race.

7:00am 5K Race Registration opens
8:00am 5K Race Starts
9:00am 5K Race Awards Ceremony
10:00am 1-mile walk registration and family fun day opens
11:00am celebration ceremony
11:30am 1-mile walk starts
12:00pm after-party lunch
Registration: Walk Registration opens at 10:00am at the BlueClaws 3rd Base Entrance. Volunteers will be under the orange Arc Tent to welcome you and collect event day registrations and donations. If you have already registered and do not need to make any additional donations or collect your t-shirt, you can bypass the registration tent and enter the event at arrival.
T-Shirt Incentive: Registered participants who fundraise or donate $50 or more can pick-up their 2025 Step Up for The Arc t-shirt at the Registration tent. Congratulations on reaching your fundraising goal!
Family Fun: We have a fun-filled day planned just for you! Please enjoy all our exciting entertainment from 10:00am to 1:00pm including music, arts and crafts, carnival games, prizes, face painting, yoga, and more!
Refreshments: Water, fruit, granola bars, muffins, and other light refreshments will be available.
Opening Ceremony: Our Walk celebration ceremony will start at 11:00am live on the Jumbotron from the field with a warm-up from our Adaptive Fitness instructor, special guest speakers, and the National Anthem sung by Employment Center participant Justin T.
1-Mile Walk: Our 1-mile Walk countdown will begin at the balloon arch by 1st base immediately following our opening ceremony. Please note the walk route is accessible, and that each lap around the concourse is 1/3 mile so we encourage you to walk three laps to complete the 1-mile walk.
After-Party Lunch: Please join us for Jersey Mike's Subs donated by Be Best You. Specialty options including gluten free, chopped, and pureed diets will be available at the third base refreshments area upon request. Rita's water ice will also be available for a sweet treat compliments of Cedar Com.
Parking: Free and accessible parking will be available on-site at the stadium.
Weather: This event is rain or shine. Please come prepared for the appropriate weather conditions.
