The Arc, Ocean County Chapter received a grant from the County of Ocean for an Inclusive Recreation Project benefiting individuals with disabilities.

The funding will allow The Arc to start phase two of the Bill Burke Wellness Center located at our Adult Training Center in Lakewood, NJ. Renovated in 2021 in memory of Bill Burke, the indoor gymnasium is a place for fun, friendships and fitness. This next phase will focus on the outdoor recreation area with anticipated completion in 2024.

Participants of The Arc utilize the space for health and wellness activities, daily workouts, strength building, recreation and sports hosted by Mon-Ster Fitness.
