The Arc, Ocean County Chapter with The Arc of New Jersey hosted a celebration to honor our Family Caregivers at the Bill Burke Wellness Center in Lakewood on Tuesday, November 29th.
Joined by Jon Seifried, Assistant Commissioner of NJDDD, Tom Baffuto, Executive Director of The Arc of New Jersey, Laura Williams, Executive Director of The Arc of Ocean County, board members, executive leadership, family caregivers, and participants of The Arc, Ocean County Chapter, we were proud to accept a proclamation from Governor Murphy recognizing November 2022 as Family Caregivers Month.
In addition to the proclamation, family caregivers in attendance had an opportunity to share their personal stories with the audience and The Arc of Ocean County showcased their health and wellness initiative with a fitness routine from participants of the day programs.
It was a wonderful opportunity to get together to spotlight the incredible family caregivers across The Arc family and recognize their dedication to their loved ones and the entire community of individuals with disabilities in New Jersey.
