The Tuckerton Adult Training Center spent some time making the end of summer very special for the participants... and when we say special we mean creating a whole Special Olympics tournament and ceremony.

Staff worked with participants to think of inclusive and fun games to play, how to create DIY decorations and team shirts and even how the opening and ending ceremonies should look. 

The participants competed in bowling, ring toss, rocket launch, and parachute ball as a group to enhance communication and team work skills. 

Everyone helped begin the Special Olympics by walking the paper mache torch to the hula hoop rings and everyone ended the games with handmade honorary Special Olympian medals.
