Here at The Arc, Ocean County Chapter's EDGE program, we like to celebrate the successes of all our EDGE students.
We have witnessed many individuals’ personal growth and meaningful engagement that contributed to the learning environment for the group.
This year, our third annual Celebration of Success Ceremony took place on June 14th at the Joseph Kohn Training Center in New Brunswick, with a focus on the theme: “Aspirations.”
A handful of students, who have been exemplary in their efforts this year, received honors in either employment, development, guidance, or engagement.
We were honored to have many key speakers, including two new guests: Mark Farrell, NYC Radio Personality and Motivational Speaker, and Steven McCoy, founder of Spoken Heroes. Both are well-known trailblazers in their field who shared their stories on how they overcame obstacles to become successful.
Other speakers included Dr. Bernice Davis, Executive Director, and Charles Pat McKenna, Assistant Division Director of the NJ Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
We also had Matthew Brady, the Assistant Executive Director of Vocational Services for the Arc of Ocean County, join us for his words of wisdom to the students.
