Vocational Services— provides job training, employment opportunities, and transportation
to people with developmental disabilities with the goal of finding productive employment,
increasing self-sufficiency and self esteem, and providing valuable resources to
the community.
Residential Services—provides housing options based on the needs and desires of the
individual. Options include group homes, supervised apartments and supportive living.
The goal of the program is to help individuals live a full and productive life in
the community. Staff support may range from 2 hours per day to 24 hours per day,
depending on the assistance an individual may need to live in their own home.
Family Support Services—provides individuals and families with information, referral
services, advocacy and respite care. The goal of the program is to provide opportunities
for community involvement, decrease stress, increase enjoyment and provide emergency
support.
Recreation programs—provides individuals opportunities to participate in recreational
activities by choice while encouraging health and fitness, friendships, and skill
development. The goal of the program is to facilitate an appropriate and active lifestyle
for an improved quality of life.
Self-Advocacy Group—people with developmental disabilities meet monthly to support
one another while advocating for the rights and responsibilities of all individuals.
Real Life Choices—provides self-directed supports and services. The consumer and
their family can purchase supports and services to achieve the outcomes identified
in their Plan of Care from approved providers. The Arc, Ocean County Chapter is an
approved provider of Real Life Choices.
