Our Vision— Individuals with developmental disabilities have access to support services and typical opportunities in their communities.

Who We Serve— Children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.    These include disabilities such as mental retardation, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorders,  epilepsy, spina bifida, and  traumatic brain injuries.

Vocational Services— provides job training, employment opportunities, and transportation to people with developmental disabilities with the goal of finding productive employment, increasing self-sufficiency and self esteem, and providing valuable resources to the community.

Community Residential Servicesprovides supports and homes to over 100 individuals throughout Ocean County.  Training and support is provided in daily living skills, money management, nutrition, meal preparation, medical case management, recreation and vocational goals.

Family Support Services—provides individuals and families with information, referral services, advocacy and respite care.  The goal of the program is to provide opportunities for  community involvement, decrease stress, increase enjoyment and provide emergency support.

Recreation Servicesprovides individuals opportunities to participate in recreational activities by choice while encouraging health and fitness, friendships, and skill development. The goal of the program is to facilitate an appropriate and active lifestyle for an improved quality of life.

Primary Care Center—provides high-quality, holistic, primary, acute, and specialty medical care to people with developmental disabilities.  The goal of the program is to maintain and improve the health of people with developmental disabilities.

Self-Advocacy Group—people with developmental disabilities meet monthly to support one another while advocating for the rights and responsibilities of all individuals.

Real Life Choices—this program provides self-directed supports and services.  The consumer and their family can purchase supports and services to achieve the outcomes identified in their Plan of Care from approved providers. The Arc, Ocean County Chapter is an approved provider of Real Life Choices.
