  1. Program Assistants are vital to our everyday residential operations. The successful candidate for these positions will provide supports to individuals with disabilities in a residential (Group Home, Supervised Apartment, or Supportive Living) environment.

    Responsibilities include teaching life skills and managing the personal care of all the individuals living in the community residence. The successful candidate will be at least 18 years of age, have a valid, NJ Driver's License with no more than 5 points, and a minimum of a H.S. Diploma/G.E.D.

  2. We are currently seeking Assistant Group Home Managers who will be responsible for assisting the manager with the the day to day operation of a community residence that supports individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities.

    Responsibilities will include assistance with teaching life skills and guiding the personal and social development of the individuals in the home, as well as writing and managing individual habilitation plans for each of the residents in the group home. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will be assist with maintaining staff schedules and assisting the manager with scheduling staff for trainings.

  3. We are currently seeking several Program Instructors to work in our Adult Training Centers.
    The successful candidate will provide direct support and individualized vocational training to the participants of this day program. The Program Instructor will provide assistance with activities, daily living, and socialization, and will ensure that participants are given the opportunity to be trained in the vocational area(s) of interest, based on the participants' skill sets.

  4. We are currently offering a great opportunity to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities! We are in need of Group Home Managers to oversee Residential Programs in Brick, Lacey, and Barnegat. Responsibilities include the overall management of daily activities of residents in the Group Home. Scheduling staff and ensuring that DDD standards are maintained throughout all facets of the Group Home. Must also recruit, hire, and supervise staff in the performance of their duties.

    The successful candidate must be at least 18yrs. of age, have a valid NJ DL with no more than 5pts, and a minimum of 2 years working with individuals with disabilities as well as previous experience working in a Group Home. May need to be flexible with schedule to meet the needs of the programs. The Residence Manager must also be willing to participate in a Monthly On-Call Rotation.

  5. The Arc, Ocean County Chapter, a non-profit agency that supports individuals with
    disabilities, is seeking Full-Time and Part-Time CHHAs and CNAs to work in our
    medical group homes.

    Basic Job Responsibilities include:

    -Ensuring each resident obtains necessary medical services

    -Administering medication

    -Assisting with the monitoring and the provision of clinical care

    Providing direct support and supervision by teaching skills and guiding the
    personal and social development of each individual within the least restrictive
    environment.

    Overnight shifts are currently available.

    The successful candidate will be at least 18 years of age, have a minimum of a H.S.
    Diploma/GED, and a valid NJ Driver's License with no more than 5 points. They
    must also have a current and valid CNA/CHHA license that was received from an
    accredited program.

  6. We are currently seeking a full time Crew Chief to providing training, supervision and support to individuals with disabilities who are employed on a cleaning crew. The crew chief will take a group of individuals to various contracted sites throughout the community to perform cleaning services while supervising a group of individuals with disabilities who are also employed through the cleaning service. The successful candidate must have at least two years of janitorial experience and previous experience with stripping and waxing large floor areas.

    The candidate must also have a flexible schedule in order to meet the cleaning needs of the various contracts. Successful candidates must also be at least 18 years of age, have a valid NJDL, and the ability to drive and operate a 10-12 passenger van. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.

  7. We are currently seeking a full-time Case Manager for our Vocational Services Department. Our Case Manager will complete IHP/Rehab plans for their assigned caseload, ensuring vocational goals are clearly written with measurable goals. They will also provide individual case management to the participants on their caseload which includes training, supervision and support to the participants in meeting their vocational objectives as outlined in their rehab plans. They will provide intervention to clients in crisis when necessary and provide direct support, training and supervision onsite and in the community. The Case Manager will also complete and/or review intakes, assessments, and evaluations for prospective participants. They will also participate in time studies and quality control of the production floor. They will also ensure participants are provided with opportunities to develop employment and/or self-employment opportunities to expand on skills necessary for competitive employment. ​

    The successful candidate will possess at Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Special Education or a related area. They must communicate effectively and build relationships with funding sources, supervisors, co-workers, participants, home representatives and community partners. They must also have a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience working with individuals with disabilities.

  8. Employment Specialists work with participants in our Self-Directed Services Programs. They are responsible for developing employment, self-employment, and/or volunteer opportunities to expand on skills necessary for competitive employment. They also provide community based job training opportunities to address job modifications and/or job restructuring to develop natural supports. They also provide job, career and life skill training to enhance employability skills. Must be able to contact, network and develop relationships with potential employers.

    This position requires a BS/BA in Human Services or related field.

  9. To assist, mentor, advise, and instruct individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while they secure gainful employment within the community.

    Candidate must be 18 yrs or older, have a valid NJ DL w/no more than 5pts, and a high school diploma or GED. We are seeking individuals that have experience working in the field of developmental disabilities and is familiar with the background of job coaching and instruction. Must have a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the individuals within our services, this is a 40hr per week position.

  10. This is a full-time position within our busy finance department that is responsible for planning and managing the daily operations of the funds for approximately 175 clients. The Coordinator will be responsible for checking Medicaid eligibility each month, as well as filling out Medicaid applications, receritifcations, and maintaining a current list of Medicaid eligible clients. The Coordinator will ensure checks are prepared and sent to clients as well as respond to all inquires from families and guardians regarding financial matters. In addition to these tasks, the successful candidate will also follow up with Medicaid billing using various software programs, complete social security applications and follow up with the SSA for re-award letters and pending applications.

    The successful candidate for this position will possess:

    1. A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or other related field.

    2. Strong attention to detail.

    3. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

    4. Experience with Medicaid billing is preferred.

    5. A minimum of 2 years experience working in a business office setting.

    6. Excellent computer skills and the ability to successfully pass a computer proficiency test.

    We are currently offering a great opportunity to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities! The Arc, Ocean County Chapter is seeking a full time Behaviorist to be responsible for developing, writing, and implementing behavior plans, utilizing behavior management intervention techniques, and creating and implementing treatment plans.

    Qualified candidates should have at least 5 yrs. of experience working with the DD population, be flexible to meet the needs of the individuals, and possess a valid NJ DL with no more than five points. M.A and/or BCBA certificate preferred.

  12. We are currently seeks several Part Time Drivers to transport individuals from their community residences to and from their Day Programs/Work Shop. The successful candidate must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid NJ DL with no more than 5 points, and a minimum of a H.S. Diploma or GED.

    They must also be able to work a split shift.
    The hours for the position are 7a-9a and 2:30-4:30, Monday-Friday.

    The Arc, Ocean County Chapter Inc. is currently offering a great opportunity to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities! Our agency is in need of an Assistant Director of Residential Services to oversee a group of residential programs that provide direct care to individuals with disabilities within Ocean County. The Assistant Director will be responsible for management of 4 Residence Managers, approximately 40 staff, and must be able to cooperatively work with the agency Registered Nurses to manage the Nursing staff. The Assistant Director of Residential Services will oversee the management of daily activities within the community residences. They will assist in the development of the Individual Habilitation Plans and participate in Interdisciplinary team meetings for all residents services.

    The Assistant Director of Residential Services must have effective and positive communication skills in order to interact with staff, families, guardians, funding and regulatory agency personnel, and other outside agencies in order to meet the needs of the individuals served. They will also be responsible for evaluating agency staff, interviewing and making other recruiting recommendations for their programs, creating and overseeing the schedules for each of their community residences. The Assistant Director of Residential Services will participate in the emergency coverage (on-call) rotation for residential programs and may need to be flexible with their hours to meet the needs of the programs.

    The successful candidate will be 18 years of age or older , have a valid NJ DL with no more than 5 points, and have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities. A B.A. in Human Services, Special Education or related area is required. This is not an entry level position.

  14. As a Respite Provider, you will provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in their homes. Respite providers offer supervision including hands on assistance as needed by teaching skills and guiding the personal and social development of each individual. This includes assistance with and implement activities of daily living and socialization including but not limited to cooking, cleaning, shopping, hygiene and grooming, leisure activities, sports activities etc.

    This is a part time position-5 hours per week. This successful candidate will be at least 18 years of age, have a valid NJ Driver's license with no more than 5 points, and a minimum of a H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
